The Wellington Cable Car offers spectacular views of Wellington. There are great photo opportunities and historic icons within the transport museum at the top. If you have time, enjoy the gentle walk down through the botanic gardens on your way back to the city centre. The Carter Observatory is a superb star-gazing centre, just like the UK’s planetarium at Greenwich. Here you can learn about the universe and how the world was possibly created.
